The Quality Education Fund (QEF) conducts a variety of dissemination activities on a theme basis. QEF has invited the Centre for Innovative Applications of Internet and Multimedia Technologies (AIMtech Centre), City University of Hong Kong to share with us on 22 June 2017 . Please note that the activity will be conducted in Cantonese.

The project was implemented from 2015 to 2017.  vPAD is a pioneering Virtual Reality-based Training Programme for social adaptive and emotional training for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. vPAD is developed by AIMtech Centre of City University of Hong Kong, with expert input from medical and educational experts respectively from Department of Paediatrics, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Department of Psychology, The Education University of Hong Kong. It is a unique training programme enabled by CityU multi-projection virtual reality technologies which aims to provide an authentic, immersive, situated, safe and controllable educational environment to enhance the social skills of students with ASD.
