Dissemination Seminar (2) - Kindergarten Education: Effects of A Language-rich Phonological Awareness Intervention on English Language and Literacy Among Hong Kong Chinese Kindergarteners (17 November 2015)
The Quality Education Fund (QEF) organises dissemination sessions regularly on different themes to disseminate the good practices derived from QEF projects and promote professional sharing. The above seminar, to be conducted in Cantonese, will be held on 17 November 2015.The Department of Psychological Studies of The Hong Kong Institute of Education conducted the QEF project on “Effects of A Language-rich Phonological Awareness Intervention on English Language and Literacy Among Hong Kong Chinese Kindergarteners” at 8 kindergartens in 2013 and 2014, aiming to design and implement oral language and phonological awareness program for the local Chinese kindergarten students; provide training and professional support to project teachers in implementing the programs; and enhance children’s English language and reading skills and interest in English learning. The project has generated evidence for the effectiveness of the program. Teaching resource package and parent leaflet have been published to ensure the sustainability of the project outcomes.

For reservation of seats, please submit your on-line application via the TCS or return the completed enrolment form (downloaded from this homepage) to the QEF Secretariat by fax at 2186 8183 on or before 10 November 2015 .
Parents
Interested parents may enrol through their schools. Schools should return the enrolment form (downloaded from this homepage) with completed parent information to the QEF Secretariat by fax at 2186 8183 on or before 10 November 2015 .
Enrolment is on a first-come-first-served basis . Applicants may visit this homepage for checking their enrolment from 12 November 2015 . TCS applicants will also be notified through e-mail by the system. The QEF Secretariat will NOT individually inform non-TCS applicants of the enrolment results.
