15th Anniversary Opening Ceremony cum Public Lecture (7 May 2013)

Since its establishment in 1998, the Quality Education Fund (QEF) has supported over 8 200 projects, which have brought about successful innovative ideas, practices and experiences for the education sector to raise the quality of education in partnership with different stakeholders.  To capitalise on its achievements and spearhead innovative education developments, the QEF will embark on another stage of sustaining the momentum of the education reform and enabling schools and students to excel through consolidating and sharing practices, and continuing to encourage and enhance school-based innovations.

Taking the opportunity of celebrating the 15 th anniversary of QEF in 2013, we will organise a series of activities such as public lecture, education conferences and exhibitions to showcase the achievements of schools, teachers, students and our partners.  You and your teachers are cordially invited to participate in these activities. Please visit our website at http://qef.org.hk/expo2013/ for more details of all these activities.

With a view to inspiring ourselves with international experiences, we have the honour to have, Dr Dirk Van Damme , from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to give a public lecture on “Innovation in Education: What Can We Learn from International Experiences?” on 7 May 2013 (Tuesday) at the Academic Community Hall, Hong Kong Baptist University.  The event will begin with the QEF 15 th Anniversary Opening Ceremony, in which the Secretary for Education will be the officiating guest.
