Quality Education Fund Thematic Dissemination Activities – Pre-primary Education: Developing an Early Childhood Classroom Observation Scale (ECCOS) to Assess the Quality of Education in Hong Kong Kindergartens (20 October 2011)

The Quality Education Fund (QEF) conducts a variety of dissemination activities on a theme basis.  The Faculty of Education of the University of Hong Kong has developed the Early Childhood Classroom Observation Scale (ECCOS) for assessing the quality of teaching and learning in kindergartens. A sharing session on ECCOS will be conducted to present its characteristics, research findings and applications. Participants can also learn how to use the ECCOS in the sharing session.  Please note that the activity will be conducted in Cantonese.
 
You and your staff are cordially invited to attend the activity to be held on 20 October 2011. For reservation of seats, please submit your on-line application via the Training Calendar System (TCS) of the Education Bureau (EDB) ( http://tcs.edb.gov.hk ; Course ID: SS0020110071) or complete and return the enrolment form downloaded from this homepage to the QEF Secretariat by fax at 2186 8183 on or before 13 October 2011.  Seats will be reserved on a first-come-first-served basis.  All applicants may visit this homepage for checking the enrolment result from 17 October 2011 onwards.  For TCS applicants, they will also be informed of the enrolment result by e-mail via the system.  However, the Secretariat will NOT individually inform non-TCS applicants of the enrolment result.
