To provide funding for schools to launch school-based curriculum development and/or student support measures, including relevant school improvement works and/or procurement of supplies.
The Chief Executive announced in the 2025 Policy Address that, the QEF will launch a new phase of the dedicated funding programme in the 2026/27 school year, under which the cumulative amount of funding support for application will be raised from $2 million to $3 million for each publicly-funded school and from $500,000 to $700,000 for each eligible kindergarten. Details will be announced through the QEF website and Education Bureau Circular Memorandum.
