The following is issued on behalf of the Quality Education Fund Steering Committee:
The Quality Education Fund (QEF) Steering Committee will hold its second exposition to display the projects financed by the Fund at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Wan Chai, from tomorrow (April 7) until Monday (April 10).
The Chairman of the QEF Steering Committee, Mr Irving Koo Yee-yin, said today : "The Second QEF Projects Exposition is one of the many promotional programmes to publicise the good work supported by the Fund, both to the school sector and the public as a whole."
"It also provides an opportunity for the project leaders to share experience with their peers," Mr Koo noted.
"The projects financed by the Fund aim to raise the quality of school education in Hong Kong. They include those for promoting effective learning, developing all-round education, improving school-based management and conducting education researches."
"Students, parents, educators and other stakeholders of Hong Kong's education sector are encouraged to visit the Exposition which, I am sure, they will find both informative and inspiring."
The Exposition features 127 booths displaying 195 projects, 90 display panels on 32 projects, 74 student performances, 32 seminars, 18 demonstration classes in a multi-media learning centre and a video show.
The Acting Chief Executive, Mrs Anson Chan, will officiate at the opening ceremony tomorrow morning. Other guests also include the Acting Secretary for Education and Manpower, Mr Philip Chok and the Acting Director of Education, Mr Anthony Tong.
Members of the public are welcome to attend and share the achievements of the QEF-funded projects.
The opening hours of the Exposition are as follows:
April 7 (Friday) 12 noon - 7 p.m.
April 8 (Saturday) 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
April 9 (Sunday) 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
April 10 (Monday) 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
